Sharp unveils Aquos SH80F 3D Phone for Europe

02 October 2011 – French carrier Orange has collaborated with Japanese carrier NTT Docomo to offer Sharp Aquos SH80F 3D Android phone. Featuring a 4.2-inch qHD display, the Sharp Aquos SH80F allows users to enjoy 3D content without any glasses. Sharp Aquos SH80F is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and has a 2GB internal storage and a microSD card slot. It is running on Android version 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. Sharp touted it as the world’s first Android phone that is able to convert 2D content to 3D in real time. 

Unlike the HTC EVO 3D and the LG Optimus 3D, the Sharp Aquos SH80F is equipped with a pair of 8-megapixel cameras with LED flash which are capable in capturing photos and videos both in 2D and 3D. The phone also could convert 2D content into 3D. There is a front-facing VGA camera for video calling purpose. 

The Sharp Aquos SH80F will be launched in France on the 6th of October at the price of €199 (approx. RM 850) for 24 months commitment. However, the phone will be arriving later to other European and Asian countries.
