HTC One Malaysian arrival and price confirmedFebruary 22, 2013

One day after the official launch of the HTC One, the release of HTC’s flagship smartphone in Malaysia has been announced as the end of April 2013. It seems like the HTC One will be priced just like the HTC Butterfly when launched here a short time ago, at RM2, 299.
The price might have seemed a little steep for the Butterfly, but by most accounts the HTC One might be one of the best major releases by a large cell phone manufacturer, so the price might be more warranted. Especially when you consider that the One features the fancy Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor chip, clocked at 1.7GHz.
HTC One comes with 2GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, and it looks like Malaysia will receive the 32GB version, in white and silver finish. This true HD device can record and display video in glorious 1080p detail on the One’s 4.7-inch SuperLCD3 screen made out of Corning’s Gorilla Glass for truly fantastic viewing results.
Like most current-gen Android phones it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but packaged with HTC Sense 5, but it’s now called New Sense. HTC has added the BlinkFeed to the New Sense UI, which is basically a collection of apps and widgets that scroll vertically, and look and function pretty much like Windows Phone 8’s live tiles. In Malaysia, the One will also support the HTC Sense television features.
If all that still does not make the HTC One worth its price tag, there is the extremely well-received ultrapixel camera, HDR microphones, and two speakers at the front. The best part for Malaysian enthusiasts will undoubtedly be the LTE functionality that can support the local LTE band spectrum, making the HTC One possibly the best smartphone release this early in 2013.
